Meet Dr. Cornner

Dr. Morgan Gillis Cornner is the founder and owner of The Eye Corner, where she is dedicated to providing exceptional eye care in an environment where patients feel valued, heard, and genuinely cared for. 
 

A Louisiana native, Dr. Cornner earned degrees in Education with a concentration in Special Education and Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Louisiana State University and McNeese State University. She went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University, graduating in 2017 after completing Advanced Studies in Anterior Segment Disease. 
 

For nearly a decade, Dr. Cornner has been honored to care for patients throughout Southwest Louisiana. Her passion for optometry extends beyond helping patients see clearly.  She believes in building meaningful relationships and taking the time to understand each person's unique needs and goals. She founded The Eye Corner with the vision of creating a practice where patients never feel rushed or like just another appointment on the schedule, but instead feel welcomed, respected, and cared for as the incredible individuals they are. 
 

Committed to advancing the profession of optometry, Dr. Cornner is an active member of the American Optometric Association and the Optometry Association of Louisiana. She is a graduate of the AOA Independent Practice Institute and currently serves as the OAL Student Liaison and President of the OAL Southwest Society. 
 

Outside the office, Dr. Cornner enjoys spending time with her husband, Jarren, whether on the golf course, supporting family members in their extracurricular activities and sporting events, or simply making memories together. She also enjoys painting, design, and organizing.  These creative passions have inspired many of the thoughtful details incorporated into The Eye Corner. Above all, she considers it a privilege to serve others and strives to reflect compassion, integrity, and excellence in every patient interaction. 

At the heart of everything she does is a simple belief: eye care is about more than vision; it is about people.
